Do you love brights against crisp white? Are you weary of making the same traditional blocks over and over again? Are you ready to up your skills with new techniques? We present the Sunny Vale BOM! 

This 9 month program is vibrant colors and interesting patterns in a combination of traditional blocks (some of them super sized!) and braid sections made with Kate Colleran's Braid Templates. Pricing includes the book (with many other cool quilt patterns to also make) two sizes of acrylic Braid Templates, fabrics and binding to make the 60" x 71" sampler quilt.

2026 Mystery Quilt Registration:

Sign up now for the Mystery Quilt event to be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 9 AM to 8 PM at the Glenn County Fairgrounds in Orland, CA. Upon paid registration we will provide you with the fabric requirements, cutting and presewing. The clues will be distributed the day of the in-person event.

This year, there is only one quilt size option: 87" x 87". Easily enlarge to 97" x 97" by adding one more border if you'd like.

Your registration fee includes a simple lunch and light dinner.

Sorry, the pattern is not sold separately as this is for our in-person attendees only.

Start with a uniform background print, then cut up scraps and start sewing circles of stars. The quilt is designed to go together in sections, watch the amazing design emerge as your complete each section.

Grab a pattern and join our Sew Along! Carol is making hers in Lori Holt style prints (see the picture below of her first section). Barb is using reproductions. The finished quilt is a generous 82" x 82".
