Carol put together a charming kit using Villa Rosa's Bolero pattern and used the Sunset Ridge dots and florals in all three colorways.

Focus on handwork
Spotty Hen and Spotty Rooster wool applique kits.
If you enjoy handwork while on a summer vacation, or for hand stitching in the afternoon, consider one of our Rachel Pellman kits. The small wall quilts finish approx. 14" x 16" and include the wool felt for the applique and cotton for the background.

New Notion!
Desktop Needle Threader by Clover. Although this notion has been around a long time, it's new to our notion wall. Barb taught hand applique for many years and her students loved this tool for threading those small eye applique needles. It's a marvel how it works: insert the needle with the eye down. Drape the thread across the threader. Press the lever which pushes a loop of thread through the eye of the needle. With your finger, grab the loop and pull it through. Remove the needle and, there, it's threaded. We have it in purple.

Featured Notion
Lori Holt Circle Template set includes 12", 10" and 8" acrylic circles. Each template has cross hairs printed on it for easy placement. Barb likes these for marking placement circles on applique blocks. You could also use them for large size raw edge Bullseye blocks. (Big blocks make for faster quilts!) Cut and stack the circles centered on a background block. Top stitch 1/4" from the edge of each circle. Cut the blocks into quarters, rearrange the colors and sew back together. Once the quilt is finsihed, wash for a fun frayed edge texture.
