Quilt Corral Mar 2024 Newsletter

Howdy Quilt Corral Friends!

Happy Spring! Everything feels busy in the spring. At Quilt Corral we've been busy with new fabric, new patterns, and new insipiration.

As you are doing your spring cleaning if you come across any patriotic or farm themed quilts, blocks or kits that you no longer want, remember our Veteran's Quilt Project! We donate a quilt every month to our local VFW Auxillary in support of their Veteran of the Month program. All help is appreciated.

Classes:

Thank you for your enthusiasm for our recent classes! We have had favorable responses to our "Coaching" style classes vs formal instruction, so for now we plan to continue with coaching sessions.

Classes are held either in the small building at the end of our strip mall for enrollment of up to 6, or at the Willows United Methodist Church for larger classes. After teaching several offerings, we find it is necessary to make a few "adjustments". This is mainly due to the fact that we must rent space to hold classes. Our nominal class fee pays for the space.

Therefore:

*Min 4, Max 8 for most classes. For classes with wait lists we will try to relocate to the church and accept additional students.Classes with fewer than 4 are subject to cancelation,

*You are not considered enrolled unless we have recieved payment for the class fee.

*If you cancel less than 2 business days prior to your class there will be no refund, credit or transferring to another class

*If you are a no-show the day of the class, there will be no refund, credit or transferring to another class.

Class supply lists are included on the webpage. To enroll or to see details on a specific class, navigate on top of our homepage to Classes. A list of current offerings will show. Click on the class title to open a window with the class details and "add to cart info". Scroll down to see the supply list and class requirements.

New Notion!
Hot Press by Clover

Created for seamstresses for pressing hems, the Hot Press tool is helpful for anything you need to measure and press, such as turning 1/4" seam allowances. In the recent Go Easy Wallet class we used it to press folds 3/8" apart for credit card slots. Barb has used it for folding and pressing straps and single fold binding too. The textured fabric is heat resistent and hugs the ironing board surface and the fabric as it's pressed. Measurements are clearly marked and it's easy to use. Barb has replaced her vintage metal version in favor of this new model because, contrary to the name, it does not get hot!
