On February 2nd, ole' Punxsutawney Phil predicted an early spring when he emerged from his winter quarters and did not see his shadow. At Quilt Corral, we sure hope he's right: Carol has been up to her knees in flood water while Barb, in Kansas, has just recovered from the Polar Vortex with it's sub-zero temps.
In this issue we strive to take your mind off the weather with sweet treats for Valentine's day, new fabrics, and sign ups are open for our first ever Mystery Quilt event.

Mystery Quilt Event! Do you love the challenge and surprise of making a mystery quilt? Join us for our first mystery quilt event! Designed by Barb and her Kansas friend, Theresa Ward, Double Diamonds will keep you guessing until the final assembly! This sewing event will take place at the Glenn Co Fairgrounds. June 9, 2024. 9 Am to 9 Pm. Cost is $55 and includes sandwich lunch and salad dinner.

Mariner's Compass Sew Along
Did you miss out on the Mariner's Compass BOM? It filled so quickly that it even took us by surprise! We don't have enough of the fabrics used to cut more kits, however, we are now offering our Exclusive Mariner's Compass as a sew along. Here's how it will work: Purchase the template set and small flying geese ruler from Quilt Corral and sign up to get emails with the monthly kit insert that includes a color photo, the amount of fabric needed and the cutting for each unique block, just add fabric. Instruction booklet is included with the template set. This is a preorder item because we are sold out of templates at the moment but they usually ship quickly. Order by Feb 14.

Veterans Quilt Project
In continued support of the Willows VFW Auxillary Post 1770 Veteran of the Month program we have two recently completed quilts! Thank you to retreat attendees who sewed the blocks for the star quilt. And much appreciation to the Sun Country Quilt Guild of Red Bluff for the donation of the flag quilt kit. Our point of contact for the Auxillary expresses just how much these quilts are appreciated by our veterans. If you want to help we are accepting patriotic or farm themed blocks, kits, unquilted tops, quilting services, and finished quilts. Thanks for your help!
