Ah! February! The shortest month of the year. It's short but at least it comes with a holiday for sweethearts and, dum-ta-da-dum: Super Bowl! So let's talk LOVE and SOUP. We have new Valentine quilt kits at Quilt Corral. And for all you football fans, how about a set of bowl cozies to use on game day? Use your favorite team colors to make the serving bowl size to hold a big bowl of chips, and make the smaller bowl cozy for those delicious hot dips. Some of you may be less interested in this year's Super Bowl than others (Go Chiefs!) but the bowl cozies are awesome!

Veterans Quilt Project update:
Make Blocks, Enter a drawing!
Thank you for the wonderful support of our Veteran Quilt Project. We've had many blocks turned in, some completed quilts donated and a couple of volunteers to quilt. Our customers are awesome. Carol is continuously making pre-cut block kits. Pick up a kit or two, sew the block and return it to Quilt Corral. When you bring your block back we will enter you into a quarterly drawing for a $50 Quilt Corral Gift Certificate. The more blocks you make, the more chances you have to win. The current batch of blocks are 8"x 8".
If you live outside our area but would still like to sew a pre-cut block, just send us a self addressed stamped envelope and will will drop a block kit in the mail to you. Send it back and we will enter you in the drawing.

Aunt Sukey's Sampler BOM
Featuring the Henry Glass, Chocolate Covered Cherries fabric collection by Kim Deihl. You'll make 12 unique 10" sampler blocks using Marti Michell templates, then add pieced frames to the blocks and set on them on point along with 6 Aunt Sukey blocks. Finished size: 80" x 104". It's a brilliant way to make a big quilt! And it's really gorgeous!

Yes, it's true, we feature Western Fabrics often in this newsletter however, in our defense, we ARE the Quilt Corral after all!
Yippie-Yi-Yo-Ki-Yay, by Laura Heine for Windham Fabrics is new and we can't get enough of it! To start with there is Barbwire in 5 colors! We have cow skulls on brighter than usual backgrounds, roping cowboys in several colors, and a smaller scale collage with western motifs in two colorways. Then there is that large scale floral! (Barb's fav!!) You could select a few of the more traditional prints and create a classic western quilt (think 3 yard quilt) or use the brights and make something a little more on the wild side!

Dresden Love kit finishes 12" x 12". Make it in an afternoon with fusible interfacing for the letters. If you have an Accuquilt, the 4" Qube has the 1" finished triangle die. Cut the fabrics right sides together and they are ready to sew.
